Bernadette Peters (born Bernadette Lazzara, born on February 28, 1948) is an American actor, singer, and writer of children's books born in Ozone Park Queens New York . She has had a long career that spans more than five years. She has performed in concerts, recorded solo albums as well as appeared on TV. She's received seven Tony Awards nominations, two of which she was awarded along with the other eight Drama Desk Awards. Peters has been awarded Grammy Awards for four of her Broadway album cast.
